GENERAL & INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY
Dr Ubaid is a highly experienced cardiologist in caring for patients with cardiovascular disease who are referred to him. He offers cutting-edge diagnostic tests and interventional treatments for patients presenting along the entire spectrum of cardiac and cardiovascular disease.
For patients with coronary artery disease who require an invasive evaluation, Dr Ubaid often perform intravascular imaging and/or flow-based physiologic evaluation to better understand what coronary lesions require further treatment. In addition to routine coronary angioplasty (stenting) percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), he is competent with the adjunctive use of haemodynamic support devices when necessary and can also treat vessels that are chronically occluded (CTO), or coronary stents that have re-narrowed (in-stent restenosis).
Dr Ubaid treats patients with structural cardiac disease (disease of the heart valves, walls, etc), such as aortic and mitral valve diseases.
Dr Ubaid feels fortunate to have a team of physicians, advanced practice nurses and physician assistants, nurses, and technicians who have a great deal of experience in taking care of patients who are referred to him to undergo Invasive and Interventional Cardiology procedures.
Dr Ubaid strives to offer the latest innovations in cardiac care and clinical therapies to patients of all ages. He provides state-of-the-art tests and procedures to help make an accurate diagnosis and create a treatment plan. He sees patients with very common heart problems, such as angina, arrhythmia, valvular heart disease, and heart failure. He also treats patients with some very rare forms of heart disease.
Dr Ubaid uses a broad range of treatment options to give each patient the best care possible. These include lifestyle modification recommendations, medications and procedures. He also works closely with highly skilled cardiovascular surgeons at John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and Bristol Heart Institute, Bristol, should surgery be the best treatment option.
Cardiovascular disease is not just a man’s disease. The death rate from cardiovascular diseases has decreased among men, but continues to increase in women. Cardiovascular disease is the number 1 killer of women causing 1 in 3 deaths each year.
Dr Ubaid provides comprehensive cardiovascular medical care to women, with a special focus on prevention.

His presence radiates a warmth, he instils confidence in all those around him, he sets an example for others to follow and is a role model for others to aspire to be like. He was kind, courteous, professional, understanding, caring and highly approachable and relatable as well as the medical guru we all benefit from and rely on to give us our lives back.
In Dr Salahaddin Ubaid I had a medical genius who also contributed significantly to aiding me overcome all of the negative worries and emotions I was feeling. The care he provided to me, his attention to detail, his personal knowledge, expertise, experience and skills was outstanding.
A great team player, all of the nursing staff are very happy to work with Salahaddin as he is polite, efficient, and has a great aura of calmness and competence and appreciates the time to be light-hearted.
